Now I know that on my 86-88 Mercury Cougars a simple soldering and voila my digital speedo would go higher than 85. Does anyone know it the same can be done to a Chryslers?? Not that I plan on driving that fast but you know

What year a chrysler car are you referring to? Most of the older digital dash units have a switch on the back of the cluster that allows you to choose between "domestic" and "export". Domestic will be selected from the factory and only displays to 85 however selecting Export allows higher readout numbers. You only need to take the cluster out and flip the switch.

87 Digi's read past 85. I have what I believe an 86 that has a switch. I'm sure the 85 should have it too.
