Thanks man. Those are good drawings. Where do you get them?

I have a complete set of service manuals for all 1985 cars but nothing for 1986 Omni / GLH / GLHS.

Any recommendations?

Since I work at a Jeep Dealer I have access to dealer connect(service info for all Chrysler Vehicles 1996 - present, recalls and TSB's back to 1992, vin inquiries, parts locator etc.)I do not have access to the parts catalog, it is a totally seperate program although some parts are listed in service info(1996 - present)
We also have Mitchell On Demand at work, they will not give up the password, Mitchell bills by the # of computer terminals that have access.
I have access to Alldata thanks to my Sons former employer, so until they change thier password it will be used to help out TD. According to my Son Alldata bills a flat fee regardless of the # of computer terminals that log on.
No, i am not giving out the password.
I also have a Chrysler training manual I got back in 1990 and all of the 1990 FWD manuals(because I own one) including powertrain diagnostics for AG/AJ 2.2 T-4 and 2.5L T-1 and body diagnostics for 1990 AG/AJ and a couple of other Chrysler manuals I have gotten over the years.( all newer 91, 92, 93) mostly powertrain, body, speed control and charging diagnostics etc.
My recommendation to find Chrysler manuals would be eBay.

Hey NAJ, if he has an 86 GLHS wouldn't he have the 2-piece intake? Those photo's of the Engine senor locations would be incorrect, those appear to be for the standard turbo. The sensor is located behind the upper section of the intake between the engine and firewall.

Honestly I have no idea, I have not worked on a TD other than my own for at least 15 years and I have no manuals that go back past 1990 so I am at the mercy of Alldata, if they are wrong then I am wrong.
I just double checked and they only show 4 engines for an 86 Omni, two 2.2L 2bbl engines, a 1.6L 2bbl and a 2.2L turbo, no engine vin # given and that is the location they show.

It's all good NAJ. The engine in the 86 GLHS should be the same as the 87 Shelby Charger. 87-88 Daytona Shelby Z, and CSX. Probably other models too with the turbo II. Unfortunitly I don't have any diagrams or my car infront of me.

They are showing the same pic for the 87 Shelby Charger and they are not showing a pic for 87-88 Daytona, 88 is the first year they are showing T1 and T2 and all they say is it is located in the center rear of engine.

Thanks gents. I couldn't find it behind the valve cover. Checking between the intake and firewall tonight.

CQ, do you have the Shelby GLHS supplemental manual? if not, you should purchase one because this manual contains all the information specific to the 86 GLHS that is different/modified from the regular 2.2L GLH Turbo model, it even includes wiring diagrams. get the 3-volume set of 1986 Dodge Service Manauls for the Omni.....add that set to the GLHS supplemental manual and you now have 100% of the raw data you need.

send an email to Steve i bet he has that supplement:

Thanks Marcus. No, I don't have it. Didn't know it was out there. I'll give him a shout.
