I have a 91 spirit 2.5 and I think I made a mistake, Lets say I was messing around with my car one day, and I put a new hood on. In this new hood I put on, I cut a hole. The hole was placed almost directly on top of the ecu. Do you think water dripping (pouring, dumping, whatever) would have fried the computer and kept the car from running.

I have cleaned engines with high pressure water and have not had a problem.
First I assume you have a no start condition so check for fault codes, if codes are present what are they?
If no codes are present find out what is missing, fuel(connect fuel pressure gauge) spark(hold coil wire 1/4" from ground and crank engine, if spark is ok at coil check for spark at the plug) compression, timing(did the belt jump/break)
