I pulled my console out to adjust my shift cables and somehow I yanked on it hard enough to tear the wiring for the power window switch out of the plastic it connects to. I didn't realize that there was 2 screws there to hold the harness on so I just pulled and the plastic cover popped off and now I'm left with a little wad of colored wires with odd shaped connectors on the end and am now sure which wires go to what.

Couldn't find a suitable wiring diagram in my Hayne's manual but that's not a big surprise.

Yeah I guess 115 is a little worse than the 90's we've been getting. I would take working windows any day over A/C though... and this car has neither.

I think it was 90 here, not too bad.

Are you looking for help or just telling us what happened?

post your year body etc so someone can help with maybe a diagram/pinout.

Sorry guys... I dunno how I forgot to put the model. it's for an 87 Daytona Shelby. If I can figure out where the wires go I can just put them back in and screw the cover piece back on and it should work. They just popped out, not broke.

WOW thanks! I am looking at the connectors on there and I just don't understand how I can tell which wire is which color. I can understand the part about A B C D E F and which is which but maybe the GY and VT are them (gray and violet)?

Thanks again! I never could figure out what TN would be and never would've thought of tan.

Ok well now I've got another problem. I was looking at the wires for the switches and half of them don't match the colors on the diagram. I had no dark green for one and instead I had a light blue and a few others different. Also, the back of the switches doesn't look like the diagram. In the diagram it's all lined up around the edges but on mine they're kind of staggered out and I couldn't figure out which were which.

I really appreciate all the help.

I do not have factory info for an 87 so I am at the mercy of Alldata.
I will check Mitchell when I get into work today.

I appreciate it very much. I pulled my door panel off the driver's side door and found what I think is the connectors for the power window and on the driver's side its a dark green and violet wire... which would match the diagram, but there's no dark green on the switch/console area.

Here is what Mitchell shows.
Remember that there may be xtra holes in the connector that are used for guide pins on the switch.
