i have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee as my everyday driver and wens i tried to start it and its wouldn't start. my first thought was the fuel pump so i made sure i was getting fuel...i am... so next i checked for spark and no spark so i checked the plugs and they were a little fouled out so i replaced them. still nothing so next step was the coil pack(its a powertech4.0 wit c.o.p.) replaced that still nothing. idk what else to check i was told the crank position sensor. its located on the read of the engine... on top of the trans.... anyone have any ideas...

I work at a Jeep Dealership.
Crank Sensor on the 4.0L is a common problem.
Are there any fault codes set, hate to see you just throw parts at the problem.
The fault code for the crank sensor circuit is P0320.
Even though they do fail there are other possibilities, without a scan tool or checking for codes it is all a guess.

I did not even notice you were from Jersey, you are in Raceway Park territory.
I am further south, I work at Lenihan Jeep in Marlton.
