i just bought a 91 daytona today and the tach is screwed up. it worked fine when i test drove it a few days ago but now it works intermittently. i tore the dash apart and cleaned all of the connections threw it back together and it didn't change. there is a circut bord that connects to the main board. i have no idea what it is or what it does but it seems that when you push on it just right the tach starts working again. if someone could tell me what it is that would be awsome.

Reflow all the solder joints on the instrument cluster circuit board, they are prone to cracking and causing poor connection issues.
The piece you are referring to is the tach module.
