I've got a 1989 Daytona with all the stereo wiring completely unmolested (score!). I picked up a Neon CD player cheap and put it in. Fits nice, same connections. The right side of the car is nice and loud, but there is barely any sound coming from the left front and there is nothing coming from left rear. If I switch back to the old tape deck, all the speakers play nice and loud, so I know it's not the speakers, nor is it any of the individual amps. Any idea what could be wrong?

i'm sure you probably have but have you tried adjusting balance on your infinity. if you have and you know that the infinity works then they must have changed some speaker wires around on the later models.

nope sure havent- all the wiring is the same all the way up to 2002. it should plug in and work fine. check the balance control on the neon deck. or you may have a bad deck, explaining why it was so cheap to begin with.....

It's the deck. Got a picture? I might have worked on this model before... not sure I'll be much help, but you never know.

Is the neon deck an infinity, I take it the daytona has stock infinty stereo (speakers and deck)? I know the older infinty speakers are set up a little different then newre ones.
