I just filled up my 91 Shadow for the 1st time since I got it. Much to my surprise when you fill it up it goes in the wrong direction! Reads way past empty. My old D-150 did the same thing, but I didn't care about it. What is the best place to look for the problem? Guage, sending unit, grounds?

grounds. They're easiest first up. Get yourself a mulit-meter and start checking voltage at the gauge, at the tank, etc.
