Im going to be installing a traveller as seen below into my 86 lebaron GTS. Has anyone done this before? is all the wiring there? I have alot of wires that have never been touched back behind in the spot where it goes. If worst comes to worst, If I can just get the date and time to shopw up it will still look cooler than a tape holder in a car with an mp3 player. any help or suggestions with this would be awsome.

you might not be able to use it, if you have an analog cluster, your probably going to be needing one. they were just made for digi clusters.

It'll work with either a digi-cluster or an analog cluster.

I put a nav into my '89 GTS and it's definitely got the analog cluster.

Simply pull the cassette storage bin and root around in there for the nav plug and the ground. The car ought to have it unless it's some freak of nature that didn't get wired for a nav.

As for how many (not if any, but how many) of the buttons on your nav need repair, that's a different story altogether!

Later,
Craig

There's a big difference between the wiring on a GTS and that on a 400, especially when you cross the "boundary" year of 1984.

What wiring would you have to do to put a nav in your '82 Dodge 400 - being serious here, you'd likely have to redo the entire wiring harness on the car, and switch over to an injected engine. Otherwise the computer isn't there to provide a few of the signals that the Nav needs.

Let me search for my pinout thread when I put a Nav into my Omni GLHT.

Later,
Craig

Here,

The pinout for a Navigator ... doesn't matter if it's G-Body style or an H-Body style navigator as they both use the same pinouts:

L-Body Navigator Install...

im assuming that the k body nav is the same except for the design of it. thanks for the pinout. i'll be starting to work on my 400 pretty soon and hooking up a nav sounds pretty cool. the one in your omni is the exact same one in the k car i found at the jy.

Thanks for the help guys. The tape holder hole is like an endless pit, where abouts is the plug? taped to the top?
