about 8 years ago, My wife had a beautiful salmon colored GTS turbo I. one day while driving it just quit... so I tow it home. Do the usual inspection and find no spark and no fuel pump. upon investigation the coil, injectors and fuel pump all get power from the same relay interal to the power module. Ok, I pull the power module to find a burned electrical path in the circuit board. I use some wire and soldier to by pass the problem... I turn on the car and wooof the wire burns up.... a little more head scratching and testing I isolated the 3 componets and test.... what I found was the fuel pump dead shorted and burned up the circuit board. amazing how a simple problem can really beat a guy up.
just thought I'd throw this symptom, problem, solution out for anyone that may need it.
