Hi all, looking for some help here. Have a 90 Daytona VNT with a working speedometer but a dead odometer. Have tried 2 different speedometer units, same problem. Could this be a body control module problem? Any help appreciated, thanks!

If it's the analog and not the digital, then you more then likely have broken or cracked speedo gears in the speedo itself. Thea gears are made out of hardened rubber that likes to crack over time due to the heat and moisture, etc. Only way to fix it is to have a shop make you some new gears, or you can always pull a unit from a junker and keep your fingers crossed.

I saw a thread on Allpar awhile back about these units. I think 87 to 91 have this problem and Chrysler went to a different vendor or model in 92. Try one out of a 92 or 93 if going that route. I have run into the same thing. Put a 91 in a 90 and it didn't work. Problem on both is gear has crumbled.
