I picked up an Autometer Procomp tach and MSD shift lite cheap a couple of years back, they're from a V8. Is there any way to halve the number of pulses needed from the coil so they'll both work in the SC?

If I can do this I can boast I've fitted parts from an 8 second car to my Shelby

There should be jumpers you need to change, open the back up and see.

Yeah, there are usually 2 wire loops, maybe wite and brown? Maybe have to cut one for 6 cylinder and both for 4 cylinder. E-mail Autometer, thay can help.

There's the wire loops, no switches, bit I've not looked inside yet ... I'm guessing the wire loops are on the older ones.

I'll double check with the Autometer people before I cut anything though!

Thanks guys

Autometer used to have really good tech support on their web page. You may want to try looking there. www.autometer.com If you can't find anything on their web page let me know. I have a good friend who works at their facility in Sycamore, IL He may be able to find the info for you.

Cool, the whole manual for what I've got is on their site here - and it is the loops that'll need clipping.

Now to see what I can do with the shift light
