Hey All !
Does anyone know how to operate the convertable top and the driver seat with no power
I tried turning the valve/know thingy in the trunk, but no luck
Damn ! I need an FSM

The valve should work. It is just real slow lifting. I use the hydraulics on a garden tractor. You are pushing hydraulic fluid through a tiny valve.

so what are the dynamics here,
top down=turn knob cw
top up (closed)= turn knob ccw ?
and do I continually turn the knob?

It's just a T valve. counterclockwise is manual operation. The pumps are refillable. You should have the pistons open all the way when filling. It only takes 15 minutes to pull the unit in a junkyard. Slash the top on each side to get to the pistons, the pump is held by 2 rubber gromets. Just yank hard.

As for the seats, the 4 way switch is sensitive. If it has been pushed hard the contacts get bent. The best thing is just pickup some extras at a yard and try them. I have played with a non functioning one and gotten very frustrated. The best way to repair one is find a good one, open it up and rebend the bad contacts exactly as in the good one. do a search for no heat. You will come up with lots of info.
