My 90 daytona is having some lighting issues. the flip up doors went intermittent on me for a while, and then finaly stopped working. whats up?
Ive heard things from vaccuum hoses to door motors to headlight modules to battery reset switches. I'm on the verge of a dealer trip here.

the autozone and advanced auto guys have warped my fragile wittle mind!

Really common, you have to pull the headlight module out, and reflow the solder joints. Or just buy a reman one. I think it's in the kick panel in a '90 Daytona.. Might be in the driver's knee bolster area..

On the 90 it is up under the drivers dash area. Black box about 1.5 x 5 x 3.5 inches. The harness plugs into it. It is likely toast. You can try re-soldering or just go to the wreckers and get another one. the 90's are different than the 87 to 89 boxes. The ones out of 90 lebarons with the drop down headlight doors are the same box. I have a lebaron one in my 90 daytona (same part number and everything).

I seem to be having the same problem on my vnt daytona.Constantly manually opening them.So this is electric problem because there is no vac hoses going to my headlight motors.I will check the wreckers to for this black box.Today only one headlight would flip down.

The one headlight thing sounds unusual. I will check the spare black box I have tonight for the part number.

yeah typically, if your problem consistantly is only one headlight is operating, than you have a dead motor, or bad connection to the motor that isn't opperating. But if you say its all intermittant, and sometimes one works and sometimes both work and othertimes both don't work, you have a bad module

Sorry I don't know which is which...my daytona is an 87 with the module up on top of the dash. I know yours is one of the 2 under the steering column but that doesn't help you much does it?

Thanks asless,I found which one it is.I'll head to the wreckers this weekend and look for one.btw I found why only one was popping up.The locking tab is broken off the connecter clip so it must have vibrated apart.
