I had similar problem with my 92 2.5 daytona,
I changed the thermostat 2 times, it was broke open and didnt find the cause.
Then i changed it again but i run a "radiator flush" in it to clean all the system before.
No more cooling problem now!

Take all spark plugs out and turn over engine and see if any coolant comes out of the spark plug holes. That will let you know if it is a head gasket. Good luck.........

yea i got a 2.5l turbo spirit 89

i have a coolant problem it warms up fine and i get hot air from vents defrost and all so here is the scenario it happens all the time i am drivin and its runnin cool gauge
c/ / \ \H cool is the second line to inbetween 2 and 3 right

crusin along 40 mph and when i come to a stop it always goes to the third line and sometimes a hare past even when it 10 degrees outside normal driving not heavy on the gas too much cuz i dont want it to over heat is this normal

i took it to tires plus for a check up they said it could be a over reactive sensor needing to be replaced or the gauge in my dash is messed up does this sound right i think it could be something else
