I haven't had a chance to get it installed yet. I sent the company my measurements and a stock flexplate and I want to be sure it will work with no clearance issues before I give out there name. It's thicker that a stock flexplate and I want to make sure the trans will pull up tight to the block and the tq not bottom out into the trans first. I have sent pictures of it to a few who PM me.

Why cant anyone make them the same thickness so theres no clearance issue, but make them out of a stronger material?

actually no, those from new england can tell ya N.E.D. sometimes gets hair across there butt. They get so rediculous sometimes and tech is not equal to all either. last time i was there i had to argue with them that my car never came with a clutch switch, thats why i don't have one now. Well now anything faster than 11.50 et they want you to have a 3.2A/1 SFI jacket minimum. I've never heard of such crap changing from day to day. But that NED for ya.. well i got news for them, seekonk speedway got the approval for the drag strip! yea now it'll be 20 min down the road for me instead of 2 hrs.

I have a feeling it will be like most other items, the low low production volume cant justify the cost to get a SFI rating. I ran into the same issue with a Fidanza flywheel for the TIII. Its the same material and construction as other Fidanza flywheels, but that part number was not tested. BTW, Im pretty sure theres a exception to the NHRA rules if a SFI part is not available.

That is correct, if it aint available there not suppose to bar you.
Both the NHRA and IHRA rules are getting more uniform by the year.

I have both 2006 rule books in the garage but I believe for an automatic
flexplate requirments start at 9.99/135 and faster and external sheild
starts at 10.99. I can post saturday if you need the actual info.
