Paradox ( http://www.turbododge.com/forums/16358-paradox.html) of Lebanon, TN came to my house in mid November 2007 to purchase some parts from my 1985 Chrysler Laser that I was parting out. I sold him all the parts (including the transaxle) to convert his automatic car to manual for $25. He paid me the $25 for that. He also wanted the complete 2.2 turbo engine from the car. The guy is young and seemed like he could use a break, therefore I thought I'd be a nice guy. So I offered it to him for the super low price of $25. He didn't have the money for it, so I told him to go ahead and take it and pay me later. He said he would.
I even helped him pull all these parts out of the car which wasn't part of the original deal. So, basically I sold $200 worth of parts and threw in some free labor for an agreed on $50. I've only received $25 so far. Also, I've been VERY patient with him considering it is over 7 months later. He has given me more than a few excuses. I have given him the benefit of the doubt more than once. Since he hasn't replied to my last 2 private messages, I decided to report him as a bad guy so nobody else gets lied to and ripped off by this guy.
Am I going to miss the money? No. I'd probably have given the engine to him if I had thought he really needed it. It's just the principle of the whole deal. I just hate to be lied to especially after being nice to somebody.
EDIT: I remember now. It was November 12, 2007. I missed a great college football game, that I was really wanting to watch, to help this guy out.
