Jason Weissinger; never sent parts; out $153

Entered into a deal with member (8/2009) “Jason.Weissinger” of Middletown NY to purchase a set of interior quarters, lower trim pieces, and wiper linkage from his ’86 Charger. Agreed upon price was $100 for all, plus $53 shipping for Greyhound (Priority--next day) from Whiteplains NY to Benton Harbor MI. Estimated delivery time was 24hr.

As of this morning I have not received my parts, and the Whiteplains NY Package Xpress terminal has no record of any shipments being made all week.

Here's how it fell-

10/7—Deal struck; Paypal payment made. Parts to have gone out on 10/8.

10/10—no parts. Contacted seller, told they had not been shipped. Seller stated he was still packaging items could ship on 10/12, Monday.

10/13—no parts. Received email from seller stating Greyhound terminal was closed due to holidays (incorrect; terminal was open), followed by 2nd note stating he had no driver’s license and issues getting a ride to the terminal.

Communicated back to seller that I needed parts by 10/16 or I wouldn’t be able to pick them up due to my upcoming work schedule. Seller agreed to ship by 10/14, Wednesday.

10/14—received phone call from seller stating that he had shipped parts.

10/15—No parts. Contacted local Greyhound terminal prior to closing. Clerk stated that last bus from Whiteplains, which was a straight-through run, had arrived at 6:25p with no packages on board.

10/16—Two more buses from Whiteplains arrives, no package. Contacted freight desk in Whiteplains, computer search made and other clerk called at home. Told nothing had been shipped out all week.

At this point I have to assume this guy is a scam artist. Avoid!

well don't get too excited yet. I have shipped greyhound and large pacakges only get on the bus if there is room, so if the bus was full it may still be at another stop. I have had packages that greyhound said was one day take over a week to arrive.

Appreciate the info. This is just business. Items were not shipped on agreed upon date(s), and seller is unable to provide any shipping info (tracking), which is standard for the service. If/when circumstances change I will update, or modify this thread.

Update: 10/19/09

Parts finally received today, Greyhound partially at fault.

Guy has maintained his composure through this issue and I commend him for that. Communications though--like a tracking number, or shipping on the mutually agreed upon date(s)--need work. Most of us have had bad dealings with eBayers/sellers over the years and this situation had all the earmarks of developing into a large problem.

Paypal has been released as of this morning and I apologize for the hold and any resultant inconvenience.

Well guys, to be honest with you, this was definitely a jump of the gun situation. I sent the packages with priority and was told they would be ther in 20 hours. I am not a sheister! This was an unfortunate thing that happened and can guarentee that its not something that happens all the time. Im only responding because I googled my name and this was the second thing I saw, a negative feedback. Real nice huh?
