Why wouldn't it work on '91 and '92? It states it works for engines up to 1992 ..

Its a different type of coil on '91's and up. Totally different plug. Yes, it can work, but only if the factory plug is cut off and then used. The wire will then have to be lengthened to mount the coil to whereever you want.
