Unfortunately, Mephisto is for sale. Mephisto sells with all parts currently installed and all parts I still have that have been replaced with new parts (stock hood, wheels, antenna, roof rack rails all come with car). Nothing from the car is for sale without the car.

I also have a turbo kit and all the engine build pieces (should arrive at my house any month now...) to make a Bob Stockum beast. These are also for sale, but not without the car until the car sells. I prefer to sell those WITH the car, but if someone buys the car without them, they're up for grabs.

Without the engine build and turbo bits, I'm starting the car for sale at $25,000. With the turbo kit ($2000+) and engine build pieces ($4000+), it's $30,000. The car was originally purchased for $20,500 and has more than $25,000 or so in it.

It does NOT come with the trophies I have won with the car, but here is the record so far:

Awards as of 5/31/2003:
-Saturday, April 13, 2002 - ABW Conversions car show - Florence, SC - 1st in "Domestic Wild" category

-Saturday, April 27, 2002 - Darlington Raceway - Darlington, SC - "Top Three" in minicar category

-Saturday, August 3, 2002 - W.C. Handy Festival Car and Truck Show - Florence, AL - "Silver" trophy in 1976-2002 modified street machines category

-Saturday and Sunday, August 24-25, 2002 - Bash at the Beach 2002 - Myrtle Beach, SC (Colonial Mall) - First in class ("Other Domestic Compact")

-Saturday, November 16, 2002 - The Last Dance/Return to the Beach 3 - Myrtle Beach, SC (Broadway at the Beach) - "Team Carolinas" Top Ten

-Sunday, March 23, 2003 - Columbia, SC (Jamil Temple) - 1st place in PT Cruiser class

-Saturday, April 26, 2003 - Florence, SC (Newsome Automotive) - "Top Three" in minicar category

-Saturday, April 26, 2003 - Florence, SC (Newsome Automotive) - "BEST MINI WILD"

Specs on the car itself:
Stock - 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser (Early build), Limited Edition, 5-speed

Currently installed modifications:
-Xenon Bruizer body kit - consists of sideskirts (2), front bumper cover, rear bumper cover

-Performance strut brace

-Custom painted tribal graphics over hood, roof and hatch (also flowing through inside)

-Full air suspension:
Bags in back running on 1/4" lines

6 gallon tank
Adjustable, heavy-duty pressure switch
10-switch box: control for each wheel, front, back, left, right, see-saw
8 electronically controlled valves
2 twin-needle gauges in front to watch pressure in each corner

-MetalFX M40 18"X8" chrome wheels

-Borla header

-Borla cat-back dual exhaust

-Custom 3rd brake light diffuser (says "MEPHISTO" when brake is applied)

-Neo-blue StreetGlow interior neons (under amps and front seats)

-(2) 5.6" screens, ceiling mounted in back

-(1) 15" screen in sub box

-(1) 7" screen in glove compartment

-Kicker 120.2 and 600.1 amps with custom painted covers

-(2) Kicker 10" L7 subs (solo-baric) with custom painted grills

-Custom fiberglass sub enclosure (box) and amp rack

-One pair Kicker tweeters in dash

-One pair Kicker door speakers in front doors

-One pair Kicker speakers in rear pillars

-Pioneer AM/FM/CD/MP3 head unit (radio)

-Custom painted exterior mirror housings and window pillars (silver)

-Custom painted dash and center console - custom tribal graphics

-Custom painted floor console

-Custom shaved and painted (tribal graphics) passenger airbag cover (airbag function fully intact)

-Fully shaved (all door handles, all locks, all lettering [inside and out], including hatch)

-Black Widow 360 degree passive radar and laser jammer (legal in most states - see www.jammersstore.com for details)

-Stinger battery in back, hooked through cap

-Windows 98 desktop PC installed under passenger seat:
566 MHz Celeron processor
128 MB RAM
2 hard drives totaling 70 GB storage (1 is 10 GB, other 60 GB) - suspended
mounting to absorb shocks during driving so as to not crash computer
DVD/CD-RW drive (new)
Device to send video signal to all screens
Keyboard and mouse included
...comes with all software discs. Windows not running currently but reinstall
of it will fix all problems with it. Computer can be used for MP3 storage,
downloaded movie storage, DVD watching, navigation, gaming, writing
CDs, etc.

-New "glove compartment" drawer built in under driver seat

-Crane ignition wires

-4" Hella 'angel-eye' fog lights (in body kit)

-MSD ignition coil

-Champion platinum spark plugs

-(2) DC-AC power inverters, one 300W and one 700W

-FM modulator to relay PS2 sound to radio

-Modified PT-Tuning.com hydraulic hood struts

-Viper car alarm

The car is already set up to accept a PS2. It comes with a PS2 A/V cord already installed. Just put the PS2 in the car on the shelf built into the back, plug power into a power inverter, plug in A/V cable and watch/play on any/all of the 4 screens. Swap the video amp input and the screens then display the computer's video input.

If anyone needs details beyond this, I can help. Any purchaser also gets full instructions on use of ALL aspects of the car and can contact me later if they need help with something. For example, I can provide a list of parts the engine build kit has.

This car is ready to win shows right "out of the box." Its current setup should win at NOPI nationals. Add engine build kit and it becomes a contender in the dyno contest there as well.

If you have questions, ask here, email me at robert@schoolsubjects.com or PM me. If you're serious about buying it, I can give you my phone number as well.

Sorry to see it go. Hopefully it goes to someone who appreciates it as much as you do and realizes what has been put into the car (not one of those egos that claims all the tech credit for buying a canned show car). I realize that you require more practicality for the only car you have space for and Mephisto certainly doesn't meet that bill anymore.
If you need another spot to store the Cruiser and insure it gets taken out for a proper stretch on weekends until sold, I can make space in my garage. :}
Have you got all the current specs, awards and pics on a site somewhere? Just so I can direct any potential interest.
Good luck with the sale Rob, enjoy the WRX (STI model?) and I hope to see posts of a new PT project car before long. Remember don't go nuts on the WRX mods so you can still swing the next PT. You can use the WRX for fetching air line fittings ;) .

Excepting possibly a turbo timer and radar jammer (and iPod, if you count that), the STi won't be modified. And yes, watch for a new PT project...bigger, better, badder than ever before.

The website does not have current pics and info. When I get back from the beach, I will be putting new parts in the air ride, cleaning it up and getting up-to-the-minute pics. I'll try to post it all then.

I'm going to try to sell it all with the car but if that doesn't work, I'll try to sell it together. If that doesn't work, the parts go up for sale.

As far as PTs go, I already have the next one planned out. Everyone wait patiently and this next one will make Mephisto pale in comparison...and it'll come out fully finished to start with. :)

It'll be a few more days before I can get emails. The only reason I'm on is I brought my laptop on vacation and it just happens my grandparents wanted me to set up a wireless network on their DSL connection and I happen to have a wireless card... Email is run through my big computer.

As far as the next PT, it has one big feature in common with the permanent convertible Monte Carlo at the shop that does all my work...but one more door than that Monte Carlo. Expect the entire vehicle to be ALL custom with little in the way of bolt-on parts and expect it to roll on a trailer. Also expect it to be VERY fast, VERY loud and to turn heads. }})
