New Fidanza Flywheel for 2.2/2.5 $240.00

I am selling a new, never bolted on, Fidanza aluminum flywheel for 2.2 and 2.5s. I am thinking my Daytona is too heavy for it. PM me here, thanks!

Re: New Fidanza Flywheel for 2.2/2.5 $240.00

not to discourage you but a daytona isn't too heavy for it. I have one in my 87 behind a 2.5 T2 setup. I had to drop the launch rpms from 3500 down to 3grand even after putting it in at the track or I would just annihilate the tires. Rockslinger here has one in his 2.5 Minivan. It takes off up a hill just fine.

Yes it's a bit more touchy but only takes a day or two to get used to it.

Re: New Fidanza Flywheel for 2.2/2.5 $240.00

Does anybody know if the 87 T2 motor has an 8 bolt pattern for this flywheel? What years did the bolt patterns change?

Re: New Fidanza Flywheel for 2.2/2.5 $240.00

Well, maybe I will stick with it. A certain supplier to FWD Ddge cars was tellin me it is too heavy a car for it.

The car itself is a 88 CS Daytona with a max of 15 psi boost. Stock 225/50 15s. I am using the 3.5 geared 523 gearbox.

It will not see slicks, will see street use and autocrossing, with a few runs down the local 1,000 foot dragstrip.

Re: New Fidanza Flywheel for 2.2/2.5 $240.00

My daytona was 3120 with me and a half tank of gas and no spare tire stuff. I don't know what the minivan weighs but I'm sure it's a bit heavier. I also have the 350 geared 523 in my daytona, the van has a 3.85 geared 523. I won't run anything else.

Re: New Fidanza Flywheel for 2.2/2.5 $240.00

My mini weighs about 3650 with me and all the seats and I'm not sure how much fuel i had and I did nothing for weight savings. 3530 for sure with me and just the front two seats. I have no problems launching even with 3 or 4 people in it Hahahaha. I would keep it if you have it. I really like it in the mini.

Re: New Fidanza Flywheel for 2.2/2.5 $240.00

SVODAVE: they don't have enough shut down space for 1/4 mile. They have had a few incidents because of it when they ran the whole quarter. Hard to compare 1,000 foot, but I understand they do alot of 1/8 mile. Thanks all!

GLHNSLHT2: How big a boy are you? (Had to say that!) I weigh 220. What is the model of your Daytona?

At the time I was probably 195ish. It's an 87 ShelbyZ T-top with a 2.5.
