Stainless! I have never seen anyone make a intake out of stainless. Im not saying its never been done. Aluminum is the norm for intake. These are made of .25" wall 6061 aluminum.

how much more to add a 90 degree neck on there like the stock piece so the throttle body faces forward? (this thing is just beautiful btw).

You can just use a silicone 90. If you're concerned about throttle cables they work fine sideways, and I think all the sensor plugs are fine too.

i really like the look and sturdiness of the aluminum so would prefer that vs using a silicone bend if possible.

Why? you're just going to put a silicone hose on the TB no matter where it is.

either way you will have a 90 degree elbow on there so why not use silicon for the 90

Adam,

Put me down as one of the 10 for a "group buy" as cawcislo suggested, to help cut costs & perhaps pass the savings on.

Sounds good, but like I said before I dont see us getting 10 people interested in these let alone putting a $100 deposit down for one, and I no longer do anything with out a deposit. I learned that lesson the hard way.
