If anyone has an underhood engine harness from a 1988-up 2.2L T1 or T2 car, preferably a Lebaron or a Daytona, please let me know!! I desperately need one to swap a 1988 Lebaron 2.2 T1 motor into a 1989 Dodge Aries 2.2 N/A... any responses would be appreciated!!!

i need the entire underhood engine harness... also is this car a t1 or t2? if it's a t2 then i also need the t2 airbox and all the intake/intercooler piping... thanks

Actually, the T1 and T2 engine bay harnesses are virtually the same, just different injector/knock sensor/charge air temp sensor. I have a T1 harness working on my T2 setup, and it works like a charm. That also means that the 2.2l and the 2.5l are the same harness. Only difference between any of the engine bay harnesses is the auto to manual transmission.

that's what i thought but i learned from experience that the 2.5 harness is completely different from a 2.2... i bought a 2.5 harness and tryed to connect it to a 2.2 motor and its not even close... but anyways yes i'm interested could you tell me if you have the intake/intercooler piping or the air box also? thanks

There is not a difference between a 2.2 and 2.5 harness wise. The harness dont have to know the engine size. You just want to use a 2.2 SMEC/SBEC with a 2.2 and a 2.5 SMEC/SBEC with a 2.5.

You are right about a TI and a TII harness being the same but as far as I know only for G/J body cars. An 88 main engine bay harness will work for both as long as it has the charge temp plug there as some TI harnesses did. On the 89s the main engine bay harness is the same. Injector harness will be different on the TIs to the TIIs. Hope this helps

hey i got one i cut the iac and tps connectors out of it tho but u can have it came out of 88 lancer t1 i also have the smec u can have

well all i know is that my mechanic looked at it and told me that the o2 sensor is a three prong on the engine and a four prong on the harness, just for example. There were many more discrepancies. I don't understand why. It should be much more straightforward than it is... but i'm not giving up :)

It is more then likely a sensor issue. If you are looking for an 88/89 engine harness, then you will need to upgrade to the 4 prong O2 sensor. The last year for the 3 prong O2 sensor was in 87, so if you are wanting a turbo harness for that style of sensor, you will want to get an earlier one. But I would look for all of the sensors for the 88/89 harness. The only other issue I would see would be the bulkhead connector, which would be different from the types of body styles (except for the G/J-bodies and others may match up as well)
