Yes, I know it's not a REAL TD... but it does say Chrysler on the trunk!

The last time this car was for sale, it sold on ebay for $7000. I was either trading the buyer for his restored 65 Mustang or taking the cash.

eBay Motors: Chrysler : Chrysler (item 170182356163 end time Jan-07-08 17:02:26 PST)

The day before the sale I took it to the shop to do a few things to it and the oil line from the oil pan to the separator came off effectively draining the oil pan along the way. I thought all was well, but the car developed some blowby which I deem unacceptable. I had planned to swap the engine that day, but the buyer had to back out due to family issues. (before he knew about the oil line) It has no rattles or knocks or smoke, just blowby.

It runs and drives fine like it is, but now has blowby.

The reason it won't be up for sale until 3/15:

SOOOOO... I am swapping the engine out with my low mileage flatty that has my beautiful non-jet head. I was told it was a Marnal--I am not sure I just know it has "SVM" stamped into the front of it and it's a non-jet head. The engine runs strong and I am going to miss it!

I would have already done the swap, but I had to have surgery last week and it hurts to breathe! My stomach muscles should be healed enough by the weekend to get started.

So, the price is now $5750 with the new engine swapped in.
...or $5000 like it is--you replace the rings or complete engine. Available sooner with this option

Look at it this way, it's an easy $3500 car in stock trim that has over $2000 in wheels/tires/spacers/suspension and over $2000 in other mods/new parts. (new flywheel/clutch/slave/master/line/shift knob cost over $800 alone) ($350 in braided oil & turbo lines)

If it doesn't sell, I will take it back to stock and sell it for $3500--then sell off all the mods. I should easily surpass the $5000 price at that rate...off selling only a few of the parts! Ebay here it comes!

This car has very low mileage for the year in comparison to other examples. (76,203 miles)

I am not getting out of these cars, I have 2 of them and really only need one. This car is low mileage and I don't want to run the miles up and hurt the value of it. I want one I can drive and my flatty seems to fit that bill pretty well.

Car is a trophy winner--2007 Oktoberfest Car Show it took 2nd place out of about 50 entries in my class. I lost 1st to a beautiful '71 AMX. This was my first show with this car.

Car has absolutely NO rust!!!!

Car comes with all parts to return it to stock condition is ever desired. No changes to it are permanent. Comes with original, struts, springs, aircan, intercooler hoses, coil, exhaust, etc.

This is a factory SHP car. (Sport Handling Package)

Car is 5spd and has a sunroof. A/C components are present, but system needs o-rings replaced at hose junctions to hold refrigerant.

It has an ABSOLUTELY PERFECT interior. It has the RARE black/white checkered interior which is rare since the majority of these cars came with leather that has since cracked/shrunk/split. Seats have black edges and black/white checkered centers. These are the 88/89 Recaro style seats.

The body is in it's FACTORY PAINT except for the header panel between the headlights, airdam, and the lower 12" of the driver rear 1/4 panel behind the door. (can't find any filler in either panel) Some places a previous owner got carried away with buffer, but otherwise the paint is nice.

The car is equipped with 18"X10" rear wheels with 265/35/18 tires.
The car is equipped with 18"x8.0" front wheels with 225/35/18 tires.

The car has these upgrades:

Super 16G turbo
NON-JET head
Fidanza ALUMINUM flywheel
CAP Stage 3 Clutch/pressure plate/TO bearing
KDM 3" turbo back exhaust system into a 3" Hooker AeroChamber Muffler
MK1 Chrome OVCP pipe
Turbo XS Type H-RFL blow off valve
MSD Blaster 2 coil
Manual boost controller
Intercooler hard piping from turbo to intercooler
Stainless braided oil cooler lines
Stainless braided turbo oil feed line
Stainless braided turbo coolant lines
1000+CCA Mercedes Benz gel battery
A pillar dual gauge pod with Autometer Phantom boost and A/F gauges
Bosch 350hp fuel pump
New KYB front and rear struts
Suspension Techniques lowering springs
Ichiba 1" wheel spacers for the rear wheels
3000GT radio that is IPOD compatible via AUX jack
Crystal headlight conversion with Silver Star bulbs

etc...

Car has:
New airdam
New front and rear brake pads
New front and rear brake rotors
New front and rear brake hoses
New factory Mitsu stitched leather shift knob
NGK plugs/Accel wires
All new vacuum hoses
All new radiator and heater core hoses from MITSU!
New coolant temp sensors from MITSU!
Most new gaskets are from MITSU!
Still has factory floormats
Heater controls look like new
etc...

The only problems that come to mind are:

The Autometer Phantom boost gauge is inaccruate. (doesn't return to 0)
The hood mat and heat shield are ugly.

Better pics coming!

A question was asked about hp and 1/4 times:

I never ran it at the track so I have no timeslips.

It was rated at 189hp from the factory.

The upgraded (super 16G) turbo puts out 550cfm and I was running 18-21lbs on it.
Figure in the Fidanza flywheel, 3.54:1 rear gears w/posi, and other mods and you can imagine it was pretty stout.

It is a rear wheel drive and these cars are donut-monsters! I refuse to do them because of possible oil starvation, but I watch idiots do them almost every meet. I have seen guys spin bearings due to oil starvation doing donuts.

It will be that strong again after the engine swap. Actually stronger with the non-jet valve head.

Here are a few more non-56k friendly pics!

Sorry, I can't call right now. I am in FL at in a hotel. I am about to leave soon for the airport to fly back to Nashville...and I have no cell service at this hotel!

Are you interested in the car as-is or with the engine swapped?

The engine is not bad...anymore. I swapped in the other low mileage engine over the weekend and I am working on little things like adjusting the idle to compensate for the Fidanza flywheel, resetting the TPS and ISC motor, and roadtesting to make sure all is well. I have a local guy (friend who has been wanting it since I bought it) trying to get a bank loan right for it right now. If he is unsuccessful, it will be available by the weekend, ready to drive anywhere.

He is paying $6000 and getting the factory SHP wheels with it.
