77k tII,5spd,stage 2 clutch,stage 5 cal,3 bar map,+40 injectors,walbro 255 fuel pump,msd blaster 2 coil,magnecor wires,new batt.,alternator,newer paint no rust,recent rebuild,but due to detonation problem will need re-ring,new CAST pistons turbo xs BOV,cone air filter.runs but wouldn't drive far as is.will consider trades 631-399-8879 best offer. 1000.00

Where are you/the car located? How do you know it's just the rings and that there's nothing wrong with the pistons themselves? The reason i ask is I had what I thought to be a similar problem, but upon disassembly i found both the rings were toast, as well as the cast pistons which had about 15K on the rebuild I did 8 years ago in high school. I decided that it was a good time to do another rebuild...

well,the car has 2o miles since rebuild,the problem i had when i bought it was the same,but yes it did need new pistons,but only 1 was bad,i have a great parts guy i deal with,so the parts were inexpensive,i would be willing to tear it apart and re-do it for the right price/trade.im on long island new york
