You never answered if the "lost" title is in your name? If so an affidavit of lost title is <$10 at any licensing agency and is as good as title. If it's not in your name then..... bummer.

The title was lost three owners back,and now he has moved out of state and won't answer emails.Who ever buys the car will get all the receipts,the legal paper trail,dol paperwork,and a new notorized bill of sale from me.

Maybe someone might live in state where they could offer different programs to restore the title from the original vin?

Someone made mention yesterday,that thier state might be able to offer a universal assigned vin-and then generate a title from that?

Check with your local DMV for all title rules and regulations.

So,the car is sold is without a title-bill of sale only.

Indeed,its a good parts car for the money.
