1991 Dodge Spirit R/T - $6000 OBO

Category: Domestic
Status: Clean Title

I have a 1991 Dodge Spirit R/T for sale, in USA - Arizona.

Mileage: 109k miles
Engine Size: 2.2L 4 CYL

Asking price is $6000 OBO

Please scroll down for more detailed pictures.

Recently has had 4000.00 dollars worth of work (Turbosunleashed) including:

Jackson Mod
Timing belt
new (rebuildable) idler pulley
titanium retainers (these retainers were 400.00 alone before labor)
new oil pump (Melling)
new intermediate shaft (Cryo treated)
cooling system flush
new input shaft seals
new clutch
new crank position sensor
new firestone tires
new BOV
new transmission mount
new engine mounts
performance oil pan
balance shafts have been removed
the list goes on....

Equipped with:
polyurethane bushings
power locks
power windows
power seats
trip computer
cruise control
fog lights
factory map light

The crankshaft has been balanced at some time in the engines life. I am the third owner (I bought the car from a guy in Phoenix about a year and a half ago) not sure when the engine was rebuilt but it has. The transmission has been gone through. This car has no leaks and runs great. It was rebuilt for reliability and not speed (I'm 39 with three kids). There is a slight lifter tap which goes away after warming up. I have put under 1000 miles on it since buying it.

Does not have typical paint flaking. Car must have been sealed at some time after coming from the factory (paint is original)

Selling because we bought a new Durango.

Sorry about the crappy pictures. I'd be more than happy to post pics of whatever you would like. I've got nothing to hide.

Re: 1991 Dodge Spirit R/T - $6000 OBO

yes, people are weary of getting a rusted car. Sp pictures of the underside, floor pans, frame rails bottom of doors etc... where rust can start but not be seen by typical outside of the car pictures. Also some interior pictures and detailed engine pictures. When selling a car for a decent amount of $$, lots of pictures will help answer a lot of questions and ease people's anxieties over whether it is worth risking money on buying a car sight unseen.
Having said that, it looks like a great car, and getting a rust free southern car would be great for those Yankee r/t lovers! good luck with the sale!

More detailed pictures added. This is am OBO price. It's hard to insult me. The weld on the oil pan is from welding in the baffles (was professionally done).

Does it still have the original VNT, and do you know what went into the po's engine rebuild?

Re: 1991 Dodge Spirit R/T - $6000 OBO

Not sure about the rebuild. I have no documentation on the car besides what I've done to it. The oil pan has been pulled however, and inspections were done. The crankshaft has been balanced. Take that for what it's worth but to me that says high dollar rebuild. I worked in a machine shop for two years and rarely saw people willing to put the bucks into a motor like that unless they were doing it all the way. Wish I had more info.

Original Turbo III motor.

This thing is immaculate. It is cleaner than most 1-3 year old cars on the street.

forgot to add that A/C is complete but compressor is frozen does not cycle on or off. And it's not just a can of recharge like most people say, if you want AC you will need a new compressor. Heater blows fine.
