I have a 1988 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z for sale, in USA - Colorado.
Mileage: 160000 miles
Engine Size: 2.2L Turbo
Asking price is $4500
Hello everyone,
I hate to do this, but I need to sell my '88 Shelby Z. It's been a project for the past two years and is nearly complete, but I don't have the time to finish it since I will be moving out of state soon. The only issue with it as of now is it will not start, I don't have the time to figure out what is wrong with it. Other than that it's an '88 with the 5-spd, leather and t-tops that don't leak! If the right person bought this it would probably be fairly easy to fix and you would have a very fast car for cheap. So now for the list of everything that is new. Everything on this list has less than 500 miles on it. The tires are Kumho all season performance tires with about 80% tread left. It has 160,000 miles on the body and less than 500 on a rebuild.
New (performance):
Turbonetics T3/T4 turbo with Garrett wastegate actuator
Ported intake and exhaust manifolds from FWDPerformance.com
Performance cylinder head from turbosunleashed.com
Mopar +40% fuel injectors
Stage 4 calibration from FWDperformance.com
Stage 2 camshaft from FWDperfomance.com
AEM A/F ratio gauge
Autometer Boost gauge
Walbro 255 l/hr fuel pump
3" TU Swingvalve
Turbo XS RFL Blow off valve
full 3 inch exhaust from turbosunleashed.com
Spectre cold air intake
Manual Boost controller (g-valve)
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator
New (OEM):
Rear brake calipers
Front and rear brake pads
Front brake rotors
Inner tie rods
Fuel filter
Ignition coil
Spark plugs
Distirbutor pickup
many more that I'm forgetting
I also have a ton of extra parts for it, more than I care to keep. Here's a list of everything else that I have:
Front mount intercooler and piping
Steering column
Magnaflow muffler
Motor mounts
Brake lines
universal fuel rail w/ adjustable regulator
Tons more all just sitting in the hatch
Rear window louvers with mounting hardware
Gauge cluster
Overall, the Shelby Z is in really good shape. The paint is a little rough, but the interior is very nice. I had the seats reupholstered and it wouldnt take much to get the interior into mint condition. Before she died on me I was averaging about 36mpg on the highway.
Like I said, it doesn't run so it will need towed. I'm a cadet at USAFA so I really just don't have the time to figure out what's wrong with her. I'd much rather let someone fix her up and then enjoy her more than I can now. It would be a great father/son project since most kids don't know how to drive manual these days.
I would like $4500 for it since I have over $8000 invested with all of the parts and the costof the car, but I am open to negotiations.
If you would like more info on the car just send me a PM
Thanks for looking.
-Mike
