Mini Ram Van, most had normal rear tail gates but some had barn doors.
Mostly used as light commercial vans. I believe P.B. Johnny has one for sale in Oregon.
Yes, looks like 2nd gen fenders/body line with 1st gen aluminum bumper and wierd grille and lights. Was this a production model? never seen one like this. I like it!
Nope, think you're right just thought the lights/grille looked cool and wonder if I can get them somehow. Like Cheezit said probably a prototype that never got produced.
That is a good point. They must have originally intended for there to be two versions on the 2nd gens(sealed beam and composite) just like the 86'-90' models then for whatever reason scrapped the sealed beam version.
What about European models? Isn't there some law about the lights needing to be glass in some countries?
I think certain GMC pickups and astro vans still had sealed beams until the mid 90's or so and some of their recent full size vans had them.
I want sealed beams on my van but it's hard to find the parts to convert them. I want the ones from the 87'-90' with the single bulbs not the dual ones from the earlier vans. I like the way the single ones look.
I remember switching several Chevy Sprints from flush lights to sealed beam as the flush lights were so expensive to replace, and you're right about the Astros/ P/U's too.
Junk yards were full of Caravan C/V's a while back then poof, all gone, often regretted not saving some front end stuff, agree single sealed beam is very nice!!
They're listed on Rockauto but out of stock, maybe some other aftermarket body part supply has them, just need doors, buckets etc. should be easy??
Barn doors were extra cool too, fiberglass, so no rust!!
