Finaly an update!

It took forever to get the rotisserie, and then when we got it, it had to be painted and assembled.
It's finaly ready for a car, and mine is first in line.
It's off to work tomorrow so we can finish making the brackets, pull the glass, and mount it on the rotisserie for media blasting.
I have to get the wheels reconditioned, because I want to match the color for the tu-tone ground effects.
I'm getting excited, but it's gonna suck to break out the credit card.

The primary color has been decided:
BMW's Lemans Blue. The color is not available on any cars in the United States, so it'll stand out pretty well...

That color looks great. I can't wait to see the finished project. To help speed up the job, I'm going to drive past your house every single day and pound on the door to see if you're finished.

LOL...The job will go a lot faster now that I have all the utilities that I need to do it. I wanted to wait till I had a little more money built up, but the car should go for media blasting this Friday or next Monday. Then it has to get primed, and repaired and straightend.
My brother knows that I want trophies, so I need razor straight body lines, and NO! tapes lines from paint...Meaning nothing will get taped off, it will all be painted seperate. A lot of work, but well worth the outcome.

Like I said above, the car is headed to work, to have the windows removed and mounted on a rottiserie for media blasting.
It's a full front to back, top to bottome, restoration...No corners are being cut.

It looks like I will need to order a rocker, and a passenger floor for a quality repair...I'll know after media blast.

Most of the parts will be new, but what I am re-using I was able to save, or will be able to repair.

What I am going to need is part of the passenger floor and rocker. The car is really solid, but that front passenger corner is really rough. We'll see how big the hole gets after blasting.

i agree with dgrun the white trim/white wheels sounds like it would look pretty cool. also im not sure without seeing it but i was thinking maybe also if you got white trim doing the spoiler white. but like i said idk it might be ugly i'd have to see it but it sounds good in my head...

All said and done I expect the engine to run about $9000, hopefully not much more than that.

I definately want to stick with the Silver tu-tone...White would just be too bright, and I don't think it would fit the Shelby very well.
The chosen Blue is just a metalic...no pearls.
The final color has been chosen:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...a/136_3688.jpg

I hope to have it running again with in three years.

I planned on making new brake lines, so I will probobly just cut them, but I want to try to save the parking brake line.

It's getting there.

Looks like you are doing exactly the same as I did to mine two years ago. If you are going through all this, there are two places you can get stainless steel brake lines and fuel lines from. That is what I did and I highly recommend them as they are all pre-bent and fit very nicely. The two companies are inlinetube.com and rightstuffdetailing.com.

I painted mine Deep Sapphire Blue from the 2001 Vipers. Here is a picture of it, but the blue is hard to get a good picture of.

Nice work!
It has hard to capture that blue...it looks almost green.
The Conquest looks sweet!

Thanks for the sites...I heard of inlinetube, but not the detailing site...Thanks.

No problem. I wanted to let you know about both because inline tube does not offer the short piece that goes on the rear axle for the brake lines. But rightstuff does have those pieces.

Thanks for the comment on the conquest. Finished it about two years before the Daytona.
