Thats fine, because you can get the steel lines, then the braided filler pieces for the calipers and what not.

I want to up the fuel lines to 3/8", so I will still need to make those.
I also want to replace the coil part of the brake lines by the booster to a braided section.

There is still a lot of thinking to do...

Officialy Rotisserized!!!

Takes a lot of man power to rotate, but will help greatly.
I got a ruberized rock guard for the bottom of the car thats paintable, so the even the bottom will be LeMans. Now I have to order the primer, so it's ready and ship to media blasting.

Down side is the car in the rottisserie is two and half feet longer than the trailer, so now I have to see if I can borrow another one to ship it.

Looks like we have something in common Mine has been off the road for three years now. I have been getting all the stuff for it during that time. Just starting to go back together with it now and am starting to get excited. Keep us posted, very nice to see somebody putting some $$ into this car.

Here are a few shots of my buddies 89 Daytona Shelby. He is not on any of the boards. Mint for sure, trailer queen. I intend to drive the piss out of mine

Mine will be right along the lines of your buddies...Flawless!
I want trophies! But it won't be that original. I am upping to all Koni racing suspension, and a full built motor to 400+WHP.
There is no way I could just let that sit on the trailer or in the garage...But will ever see rain or snow?..I don't think so!

It's a long road ahead though...I need to get it media blasted, and determine what parts of the floor I have to replace...The hole has gotten pretty big just by picking at it with my fingers. I also have to make some final decisions on where and what to paint what color, and how I want to undercoat it.
Then if I want to tint the windows why the are out, or what I want to do...huh.
I can't wait till it's painted.

One of the 'rare' things I want to get is a new Speedo, with 0 miles on it. Even though the title will still represent the 130K+ miles on it...the odometer will show it's real glory.
I talked to my dealer through work and he said they can get them, but run better than $400.
I'm sure I'll get one.

BTW - Is his car all original? If not...where did he get his exhaust heat shields? Mine just fell off.

Oh come on Bryan. You can get a few good years out of it in the snow.

If your car looks half as nice as that blue one, You'll have a gem.

LOL...
Eh, it's not that the body/engine couldn't handle it, I just don't know how far it would go. It'll sit down an inch or two and the Daytona is already a snow plow.

My truck has 8" ground clearance from the rear diff and has a shift on the fly transfer case with 3.92 limited slip diffs. It handles the snow a lot better.
Speaking of the truck...it has an exhaust rattle that is really starting to piss me off! Squeezing the tru-duals through the cross-members was not easy for them, and I need to find some kind of rubber I can squeeze in there to stop the rattle!

Finaly!!

It was a frickin' nightmare to get the car media blasted!! It's finaly blasted, sealed, and primed. Well, atleast the body is.
I have to get my 'new' '87 running better, then I'm pretty sure I'm going to sell it...Then I will get the doors and fenders blasted and primed.

Anyway...here are pictures:

NOTICE THE BROKEN REAR SPRING MOUNT??!! I NEED ONE IF SOMEONE KNOWS WHERE I CAN GET ONE!!!

I replied to this yesterday, but must have clicked the wrong tab. It's gone.
Well, I was saying it looks great and I don't envy you when you start putting it back together. I'm sure you won't get it done by Saturday, but what about Mays meeting? J/K
Can't wait to see it when it's done. Does getting it this far motivate you to spend more time on it?

Yes it does...'Tis the reason why the Shelby Z will be for sale in about a month...hopefuly. It's staying together long enough to make it for the meet this Saturday...then the head comes off!

The '89 needs atleast a passenger A-pillar, and some patch work. I have to wait for my brother, again, to get the time to patch them for me.

I can build the car, no sweat, but I can't do the body work...especialy when I want trophies when it's done.

I have the bump stop you need, I converted to a spring/perch set-up. Let me know if you still need it. Looking good by the way. Mine is almost done.
