yes hoodpins lol. they are completely functional though, when we got it they were on it (minus the pins and washers), the previous owner rear ended a lifted truck and smashed down all the hood latches. if you look carefully you can see the square where the Reese hitch hit the hood

Re: Official Shadow/Sundance/CSX Thread!

Look what I brought home for $299.99 (found a penny in it) Non A/C, automatic far from perfect inside but not bad. Sunroof, 145K miles. Needs a exhaust manifold gasket and had to get a run at the ramps to get it on the trailer but who cares lol. Now I have to decide if I want to T1 or 2 or 3 it with a 5 speed.

Re: Official Shadow/Sundance/CSX Thread!

Is this the same one I saw on the Wenatchee Craigslist? Looks like it needs a little paint work, but the body looks very straight ( must not have hit any deer ). You could take everything off your old sundance, and make a real nice car from the two. Your old sundance has been through alot with all those deer running around. Besides all of that, its always fun having something new to tinker with.

Re: Official Shadow/Sundance/CSX Thread!

I made a mistake on the mileage its only 114K on the clock. Joe, you must have a app for craigslist. That's the one. It's been in Wenatchee all it's life so no rust. I will be the 3rd owner. You are right about taking stuff off of my 91 like the A/C and 5 speed stuff.
You have seen my parts collection so I am not sure if I am going to put the R/T motor in it or go TII. Then the suspension, I have the koni's and am thinking of swapping in all the Spirit R/T stuff including brakes fore and aft. I know that might include the A arms and K frame but no big deal, nice to have a neighbor with a 2 post lift.

Re: Official Shadow/Sundance/CSX Thread!

Here is my Junk.

87 CSX # X11 Prototype.

Build sheet says " UK For Shelby Shadow Pilot Build " and was pulled out of sequence at the Chrysler plant.

In 1987Chrysler / Shelby pulled two pilot cars from sequence, and sent them to Lotus England for the 16 valve prototype motor. At the same time period 1987-1989.... the brakes, exhaust, electronics and much more were all upgraded using the latest chrysler technolgy.

The car also features a cool and unique hook-up for a DRB over the dash programable computer, and adjustable boost control ( very rare for those days ).The SBEC computer is a rare factory socketed chip design that holds two programs by un-pluging a external wire.

The 16 valve head on this car has a very early casting number, and was told that some of the internal parts are different from the RT motors.Although, still looking for more info on that?

In 1990,X11 came back to Shelby in California....and was later sold in his historic garage sale in 1994.

Any input or early pictures about this car?

Dodge Shadow Replacement Window Sweeps P Body Shelby CSX Sundance Turbo | eBay

new window scrapers for the CSX cars or early Shadow / Sundance. I bought a set and my brother is getting a set now to try them out. Nice price for the pair. I believe you reuse the steel not like a Mopar set. This has been a massive need so posting up where I found them..

Re: Official Shadow/Sundance/CSX Thread!

I was just going to post up about the Great Lakes Hot Rod window scrapers. I've been waiting years to get some so I can finish up the rebuild on my 89 CSX with recaros that I've owned since new. Finally!!

btw, has anyone noticed that they auctioned off an 89 CSX at Barrett Jackson the other day? 62,000 miles, in really good shape, only about 6800.00 bucks! that's less than I paid for a paint job. oh well. the only thing is that the front airdam is not the original type on the Barrett Jackson car. it's one of those ones that had the fake scoop deals on the sides.

I think there is another one at Barrett Jackson that has like 15 miles on it or something.

Damn!

that's good looking, .......minor misinformation on the seats, these are the regular CSX seats, not the Recaro's.

1989 DODGE SHELBY CSX-VNT Lot 333 | Barrett-Jackson Auction Company

this one has the Recaro's, (from the 2011 auction),
