Burning oil and smoking out the exhaust.
Its a normal 3.0 thing to do. My dads old covertible was nicknamed the *James Bond get away car* cause he would pull outa work with a huge puff of smoke lmao!
the interior is a light grey.
Fixing the rust is a good thing and getting it painted is even better!
Looks like she will be in good hands

The Bordaux interior found in the '90/'91 cars is kind of a hard color to find anymore. trust me...I know! The later cars used a brighter red color that doesn't match. Nice find on the 3.0/5-speed hard top 'Baron! Those are kind of rare!

To my knowledge ALL '89 G/J body cars *should* have rear disc brakes, no matter wheel size. Now, of course we ARE talking about Chysler here, so I'm SURE that got messed up. This info has been correct for me for many years with no exceptions. The 14" wheel cars used a different caliper backing plate and caliper to clear the wheels. I also seem to remember that the pistons in those calipers are smaller than the 15" cars too. So, if you are DYING to have rear disc brakes, then I'd try to stay clear of that set-up unless it's for an l-body in which case it might work better! I can honestly say that with my newfound road course experience, the 11" brakes either need a tad more front bias, or more agressive pads than the rears! My car got a little tail happy slowing down for the turn at the end of the back straight a few times and I locked the right rear at least 4 times.

My '90 Daytona has that bordeaux color. It is a real b*tch to find it anymore. Like you said, the later models are bright red and there have been plenty of those in the yards through the years. I've been trying to find the plastic door rails for the last 5 years.

I've seen plenty of 89+ J bodies with rear drum brakes. I've seen base model Daytonas with rear drum. But all of the turbo models should have had rear disc. The key word there being "should".

You mean Chrysler might have screwed up something on their economy cars in the 80's? Gasp! Say it isn't so!
