Thanks for the compliment! It is the first one I have built, and love it. I was surprised how quick I could make it. Mitsu turbo that spanks modified RSX's.

Allrighty, my turn if this isn't the first time around...

These cars are identical, other than wear & tear and small modifications I've made myself over the years including receiver hitch, luggage rack, pinstriping (originality of either is unknown) strut tower caps. Identical interiors, both have ABS, both have factory alarms, both are original 2.5L T-1's Date of manufacture of both is 6/92. Identical VIN numbers except for the check digit and the last 2 numbers; one ends in 654, the other in 673. There were only 236 1992 5spd Lebaron convertibles with the turbo engine. I have two of them now.

Those are great cars. I imagine choosing which one to drive is difficult.

How far have you got? Did you get any Mexican spec parts for it? I think I can have this one TIII powered before the end of the summer. After all with a 92 TI its a three wire conversion and the 568 is already there

Convertible or coupe? I'd like to see some pics of the progress at least. Phantoms were never available in convertible form--they were all coupes. This might possibly be the first T-III powered convertible out there.?.?

What did the Phantoms use for tail lights prior to the updated red/yellow ones? In 1992, ONLY the GTCs got the updated tail lights. In 1993+, they all had them.

Mine's a 'vert. I waqs never planning on doing a TIII. I want to do a hybrid tall deck 2.5 with a 16V 2.4L head.

Really the only "Mexican" parts are the "Chrysler" badge on the dash(instead of it reading "LeBaron") thanks to Blue Baron, and it having a metric speedo! I also have reproduction "Phantom R/T" badging for it, but the color combo I was going to do I think I'm going to change up. I have some other ideas for some custom badging too. This car is an '89 so the "real" badging would be hard to come by as it would be the plastic "chrome" stuff.

The tail lights were what we got here until I think '92. I've not really looked for years in between '89 and '92, so I'm not exactly sure.

My goal isn't to have an *exact* replica, but something that is completely differnt than hwta we got here in the states to keep people guessing...

Some pics of my 88 GTC. currently 2.2 TI auto, awaiting a TII forged bottom end, ported and polished head, T3/T4, and a 520/555 hybrid.
