Finally, some K car pics. 1986 Lebaron. Bought at auction for $150. Had to replace the fuel pump and fuel filter to get her running. Car sat for at least 6-1/2 years before I bought it.

This is the car that got me interested in Turbo Mopars.

Body is in good shape.

The interior is in pretty good shape too.

36,872 is the original mileage to date, I've put about 2000 miles on since I bought her.

License plate has AUG 00 as the expiration. Got a new tag now though I took off the funky fake wire spoke hubcaps, got some T/C lace wheels coming next week. I'll post pics with the new wheels and tires when I get them. If anybody wants some free hubcaps, LMK.

Engine runs good. I put in a 12 PSI cal from FWD and it made a huge difference. I had to replace the radiator, the car would get hot just idling. I also replaced the t-stat with a 180 degree one, and I put in a aftermarket cooling fan. No more overheating The after market fan has a thermocouple heat sensor, and comes on a lot sooner that the factory fan. Heater doesn't work as well though. I'm gonna make some brackets for the fan eventually so that I can lose the "universal fit" brackets. I think they look like hammered dogs**t.

Old tires, maybe original? I know that Goodyear hasn't made the vector for quite a few years.

Not bad for 150 bucks... plus a LM, a radiator, a fuel pump, a rad fan, etc....

2000. It's OK, I now have a Spirit ES with an incredibly similar interior and a 3.0 that's 1000 times more reliable.

1992 Chrysler GTC Convertible. 2.5L T-1 with the 568 trans. 151,000 miles. Used quite regularly. All stock. A true one of a kind surviving car. Not original since its had mechanical work done to it over the many years, but nevertheless, nice rare car. Plan on driving it until 2012 where it will be 20 years old and then do a restoration of it. Plans can change as life changes, but those are my hopes.

Minnesota's Lake Superior north shore 2007.

Complete with a little reciever hitch for misc stuff. Its a car that still gets used, and well taken care of.

Misc pics

I must have been playing with the top this day.

That LeBaron K is excellent. I had a TBI version of that same car in equally good shape with 110K. Ran great for a TBI. Unfortunately some jackass broke all of the glass out of it on Thanksgiving night about 3 years ago. It would have been a good candidate for a turbo conversion, but now its pieces are helping other locals with their projects.

Thanks man! The car was sitting in the back of a warehouse on four flat tires, dirt and dust all over it, no keys, no title with the sale. Everyone who was at the auction looked at it and turned up their noses. I thought it would be a pretty good project if I got it cheap enough. I was going to go $750, but no one else wanted it. The bid started at 500 and nobody spoke up. When it got to $150 I felt sorry for the auctioneer, so I spoke up and got it. I think the guy was relieved that someone at least bid!

Anyway, I bought some lace wheels based on the pic of your car, so thanks for posting that! I'll post more when I have the new wheels on.

Friggen jackasses! Well at least it's an organ donor. Did you get your overheating on the daytona figured out? Thanks for the good coments!

Yep, sure did. It was the gauge. I think my radiator might still have a partial blockage though. I'm getting another one from a local in trade for some extra parts.

Here's some of my old LeBaron K. Sorry the pic quality isn't better. I didn't have a decent camera at the time. And that bump on the roof is a moonroof. I guess it was an aftermarket install, but they did an excellent job. I got this car for free. It had been sitting for a few years and the engine would rev really high while it was running. The guy couldn't figure it out. Turned out to be a bad wire to the TPS. It ran excellent for a TBI. Oh well.

Well, thats pretty good, fixing a problem like that with one wire. Sometimes that stuff is a b*tch to figure out.

I am looking for gray interior trim for a J-body (1987-1989) LeBaron coupe hardtop. If you have anything please PM me before throwing it out. I am also selling tan trim if you're interested.

Well, they busted ALL of the glass. Even at junkyard prices a windshield, rear glass, 2 rear quarter glass, and both side windows was gonna run a nice tab. They also broke a couple headlights, ripped some trim off the landau top, and put some nasty dents in the hood and A-pillar. If it had been a turbo car I probably would have fixed it. But being a TBI, I just let it go. I had too many other projects to work on. I tried a long time to find somebody to take it. I offered it to numerous people for free and finally a local said he needed the electronics out of it so it got parted out.
