Wow, you been keeping that Z in a garage or what? It's very clean. I traded a similar (but in rough shape) car last year for a running driver. Had all the same options: T-tops, digital dash, leather, 5-speed. Only thing that was different was it wasn't a CS and it had wagon wheels and not crabs. I've since heard it's running again and just needs a windshield. I posted a link to it earlier, but here it is again. These were taken before I cleaned it up and installed a new hatch glass.

I bought it a little over a year ago (same day that kid shot up Virginia Tech and I got it from about 60 miles away from Virginia Tech, talk about a day!).

The guy I got it from said he was only the 2nd owner, hadn't had the car but a couple of months, and that the car was always garage kept or covered by the 1st owner. The 1st owner was a DC lawyer and this was his play car at his vacation house. It does have some miles though 140k+ (speedo wasn't working quite right when I got it).

A friend and I joke that it is in pretty good condition for a 10 year old car, it just happens to be 22! It is now no longer garage kept. It does spend some time in a parking garage though and I had the windows tinted (including the t-top glass) with UV tint to try to help the leather remain soft (and it is still soft!).

The tips are easy to clean when they are straight. Some dish soap and aluminum polish and good to go. They get dirty fast though.

The oxidation on the plastic on the early '80s cars is just killer. I've been able to use polish wadding to get some of the oxidation off. It is really tough stuff, but at least it looks better than the oxidation.

Ok, please don't laugh at one who has no idea what you are talking about, but what is 'polish wadding'? Thanks. djd.

Thank you very much. Just to make sure I understand-that wadding polish is what you used on the oxidized plastic? djd.
