What are those, GTC 16" lace rims? I never would have thought to put those on a Daytona, but they don't look bad. They'd look great painted gold on a black car. Or even gold on that red one. Either way, nice looking 1st Gen there. Personally, I like the wagon wheels on the 1G cars. I know most people don't like them, but I think they look classic 80's sporty. Can't go wrong with a nice set of polished crabs though.

Yes, they are the GTC rims. I bought them at a scrap yard for like $5 for all four (maybe a bit more, I just remember it was cheap), so I couldn't pass them up. The car didn't have any wheels when I got it so I don't have the original crab wheels around or anything. I hear you can pick up a set pretty cheap though. I recently bought a really nice set of 16" tires though, so I don't want to switch back to the 15" crabs right away. I had never thought of painting the lace rims gold. They were originally dark gray with a silver edge. I painted them all silver after awhile then painted them white. I'm indecisive I guess! I might as well give gold a chance and see how it looks. Thanks for the suggestion.

What goes around comes around I guess. I didn't have to work on my car today. That's funny because my buddy who always gives me grief over my old TD's has had his VW Jetta break down twice in the last 2 weeks. First it was the brake master cylinder. Then yesterday his timing belt broke. I had to cart him to the parts store in my TD both times. Even though I feel bad for him having a broken car, it was sorta funny in that ironic kinda way.

Edit: I was completely out of it and posted this in the wrong forum. But in retrospect, both of my TD's are Daytonas so I guess this counts as on-topic. Doh. He got rid of his LeBaron V6 and our project Daytona ES and swore he'd never own a Chrysler again. All used cars have problems no matter who makes them. I think he's realizing that now.

the salvage yard your talking about looks like nothing more than a field with a couple of 80's chrysler products in it lol

naw thats the back of the yard.
We have 28 acres.
The front of the yard is 95+ and we just crushed so even its a bit sparse.
But we also have a shop (motor and tranny installs) a used car lot, a crush pile, chrysler hell (what you are speaking of) and an open field thats waiting to be used for something...
