My first car in high school was an '87 Daytona Pacifica that my dad bought and dropped an engine in for me. Full tank of gas and insured, he left the keys for me hanging on the Xmas tree and somehow snuck the car into the neighbor's driveway the night before. I loved that car and STILL wish I had it, even though I have 2 Shelbys now. (a guy pulled out in front of my senior year and totalled the car. All I have left of it now is the ignition key. Somehow the pictures got lost )

Ya, its in SLC. but hey, its for sale!! It needs a tune up, and an oil change. A wash and the interior isn't in as good as shape as he says. The tops of the back seats are baked from the sun and the carpet is way dirty
So I went and saw my twin Daytona for sale today. It needs alot of TLC on the inside. there are quite a few things damaged in there. And the seats just look like they've never had any kind of leather conditioner on them. But they're decent. It runs pretty well. Does need a tune up pretty bad though. the out side is in pretty good shape. Got some pretty minor dings on the top of one fender. It looks like it has had a paint job within the last 8 years or so. Its peeling off the front bumber really bad. He did however see mine and fell in love! He says, " wow what year is it?" Uh... and 86 I replied..haha. He then realized that me getting mine for $1500. does not constitute him selling his for $1800. I don't know if he will change the price on the ad. But He'll take 1k for it if someone offered it. And he knows nothing about it. He owns a towing company and the car was in his back lot that looked like a mini junkyard. He's only had it for 3 months. But has been driving it since then till the plates expired. Didn't ask how he got it. He had to replace the clutch and some wiring for the alternator. Thats all though.

That's basically how I got my '86 Turbo Z CS. A guy bought it for his daughter and she didn't like it. Leather, power everything, all in good working order, and t-tops. What's not to like?

She was certainly more spoiled than I was. I finally was allowed to drive an old Dodge farm truck when I was 17. My dad had it and it just sat there for a year of me having a license. He made sure to transfer it into my name. My mom and I paid for the insurance and whatnot. I think he thought I was going to kill the truck. 15 years later the truck is still in the condition I received it and sitting back in his barn.

I doubt she was toooo spoiled. Daddy is a rural police officer who didn't seem like he took much BS. Clearly a little BS though.
