OK,
Here's what Paul's car (phantomrt) is supposed to look like. Not sure why he put pictures of it on after some vandals stole some of his paint. This is before the vandalism.
That engine bay is beautiful. (pay no attention to the GLHS. This is a Daytona thread)

This really works out for me! I have an SRT4 IC i am planning to plumb into my lancer, you just helped me out big time! The only difference is id like to keep my stock T2 box as id prefer not to have to use a cone filter.. nothing wrong with them of course, id just like to try it with the T2 box.

Still like the setup. very clean.

Stratous will end up with a nice car but he is taking away from it with the color change ~ IMO it should stay the radiant silver only makes it more rare a import color on a TD will look good but not my taste I do look forward to seeing it done though

I know what you mean about starting off with a rust free car. I still envy the rotisserie though my brother has an '85 GLH that was garaged from new. bought it last year with 37K on it, and has been slowly making it his own with modern yet tasteful updates. Makes me want to fix up the lancer a bit more now. Im with you on the stock colors. Its neat to see a TD in say, burnt orange, but the usual colors like the two tone on later G bodies looks best-to me. not hating, just stating!

Good job Bob. You are the clone brush master! Helps to have a better camera than I have, too.

My Lebaron should be getting an SRT-4 intercooler as well whenever I get around to it. It'll be plumbed in just like the Daytona. Max intercooler pipe size for my setup is 2.25" for clearance reasons. When I first hooked it up, it was dangerously close to the alternator pulley. Then I did a transmission R&R and now the plumbing will hit the pulley. So, to counter this effect, I may have to modify the alternator belt tensioner a bit for extra adjustment travel and go with the next size smaller belt to move the alternator away from the intercooler plumbing. Another 1/4" should make all the difference in the world.

92 Daytona N/A MPI, I'm trying to get the 92 TI electronics to work in it and will try swapping in a moderate TII engine or TI and IC it. Has only 87k miles.

Digital dash and traveler I like digital stuff, lol

Sorry about the quality, I took those with my camera phone.

My 93 R/T Such a fun car, I'd love to drive it daily like I did for 2 months, but I want to preserve it so badly until I can do a total restoration when I become a grown-up hahaha

89k miles and only mods are a 4 puck racing clutch and a 3" exhaust no cat and straight through muffler.

Custon aluminum valve cover cover made by my brother at work.

Only 258 Silver 89 Shelby Daytonas were made.
How many were TII/A555 cars?
I've seen 3 go to the crusher. Heard of a few more get crushed.
How many are left?
There is a silver one that has been to a few shows around. It's amazing what some tint can do to make a silver car 'pop'.

I agree with Ron. In no way is this to bash your Daytona and the plans you set for it. But if I was a judge i'd be into its original looks. Packing 400WHP and making it look like it just rolled off the show room floor in factory dressings well... that is just sexy. Going for another car manufacture's color and would just put the car at the "atleast the doors arent lambos" ranking. Just my thoughts, I think it will be clean, mainly see it wasnt a rare colored Daytona getting customized...
