Never heard of daytona bikes, but the daytona truck, just a bad idea.

I'm always seeing references to Ferrari Daytonas and Daytona Blue painted 350Zs (along with the Daytona Bikes). It helps if you enter "Dodge Daytona" into eBay, but of course you get the new Charger body and the tucks that way still.

I still can't believe they couldn't sell the Daytona back in the 60's. The first time I saw one I thought it was the coolest looking car ever. But I've been told I'm kinda car-crazy anyways, so maybe I'm not the best judge.

Here's one of my favorite pictures. It's posted at Allpar and was my desktop wallpaper for a long time.

^^That car made a feature in Turbo Magazine back in the late '90's. It later went up for sale on eBay a few years ago. I dunno what ever became of it.

As for the VDS, there are reports that a few cars, mostly VNT LeBarons, actually DID get it. I only know of one car for sure that does have it in operating form installed and that is the prototype 1990 Shelby CSX-VNT. Years ago there was a guy that had a VNT Daytona that was a factory test mule(proven by it's VIN). He found a car in the junk yard that had VDS on it and he got the entire system and installed it on that car. That car also went up for sale...dunno what became of it either. A few years ago I remember somebody posting pictures of a Daytona that matched the description of said car, but it was missing the VDS dampers..it had the plugs and all though.
