as the title of this thread, can this be done??

i have a 1987 daytona shelby z
theres a 1992 daytona iroc at the local PICK
can i put the composite headlights, along with front fascia / bumper onto my '87 without too much body hassle? (electrical will be easy i'm sure) same for the back with cooler looking taillights and bumper?
also if it has been done / posted, please excuse my ignorance, search turns up nothing for me on this one! LOL

thx!

update! well another 92 has come along at the local PICK, and i snatched the tail lights, and the front fascia!! didnt have enough time for the hood, or the bumpers. the rebar underneath the front fascia, and the rear bumper. now my question is, will this work, or has anyone else done this?? the bolts look as though they will bolt up, just not sure about the hood latch.. looks as though i need the hood too, which is now gone!! along with the bumbers too. dammit!

why would you want those gay composite headlights, the light pattern sucks and they're not very upgradeable. Plus the 87 looks way better and you don't have to see the headlights unless you're using them. If you want the looks of a 92 then go buy one.

i didn't realize that headlights had a sexual orientation or were happy

after having my flip up lights fail several times (module, motor and linkage failures + one fixit ticket) i switched the header and hood to a 1993 on my 88. the last staw is when i was in the middle of death valley at night and the damn lights wouldn't come up. i yanked the crap out of them so i had lights to get home. next week i swapped the front clip. and i liked the illumination better, they didn't go out of aim ever, where my flipups would need to be adjusted all the time.

lift up the flaps, turn the knobs and the lights come up no need for yanking on them.

Hey Nechi, Just thought i would throw out there, the matching bumper makes it look 100 times better with the matching tail lights. Only extra thing you would have to do is drill three new holes on both sides of rear fender. Those years arn't easy to come by. May be worth even just pulling it for someone else? Mine just needs paint.

Rear tail lights and bumper getting there
