Chrysler Laser thread!! POST PICS!!!

Unfortunatly I have very few parts such as bumper covers for my Laser...(that would mean none in the case of that particualr part).

The one part that is eluding me right now is the center console switch panel. I need one that has full power seats, windows, defrost, AND rear wiper...BUT it HAS to be from an '84 car. No other year will directly work. I've tried '88 and '85, the switches are different and would require cutting/splicing the harness, which I REALLY don't want to do...

I love Lasers!!!!!!!!!! They're in my top 4 TD's. I drove 4 hours last year (in the Shelby Charger) to look at one that was on ebay. If you looked past the driver's side wheel, looking from the front, you could see the driver's seat. Yeah, this thing had NO floor boards left. The pics on ebay were very deceiving. It looked 100% rust free online. If I'd have known that, I wouldn't have put that many miles on the Charger. I accidently tripped up on mine. Bought it for 100 bucks after we bought the blue convertible. Didn't even know what it was at the time just knew my dad had picked it up a week later

Even though that one was REAL bad, I occasionally kick myself for not buying it. I know it would have been a nightmare, rust wise, but I still want it!!

mighty glad i got mine when i did. If it wasn't bought it was going to the crusher. Its an 86 xt with ttops leather, and 60,000 original miles so that would be a rare car going for 120 bucks in crush weight

plans for the summer are to fix the a/c and find wagon wheels and their damn center caps.

Wow looks exactly like my laser =) Whats the specs other then ttops and auto? Power everything? Leather? I only had one center cap missing on my wagon wheel set. I found that on here for like 10 bucks

Yes power everything, everyoption avail, mark cross leather etc. this is my 2nd one with the same exact options. my first one was bought brand new in 86 by my uncle who drove it until 2000 (had only 117k on it). that also was a red t-top XT black marc cross leather, power everything and 3spd auto. we for some reason let it go, and regret that decision for years. last may i found this one with the same EXACT options plus low mileage and could not pass it up.

i have a WTB thread for the wheels and caps... but cant find anything yet

I may be getting rid of my wheels for some srt wheels. I will see what my plans are. I have those same exact options except the mark cross interior. Mine has around 63,000.

I don't have any pics of it yet but a month ago I picked up a ultra rare '85-1/2 Chrysler Laser XT, flash red with no sunroof and most options. It looks horrible but I got the engine running with 205K on the still working digital dash. The trans is destroyed and it has rust on the top and hood but I'll bring it back to life anyway. I need a replacement black leather interior for it but can't find any stuff close to me. I can't even find a black cloth interior either. Oh the car was basically free although I gave away a '90 Daytona I hated for it. I kept the '86 Daytona turbo Z I still have.
