What's up guys? I'm new to this forum, but i figured that most of you would be able to help me out in this kind of situation.

I am looking to get some rims for my neon, but I am deciding on whether or not to go with the 18 x 7.5 or the 18 x 8. How wide can these rims be without sticking out past the fenders?

this isnt a Neon forum but someone here maybe able to help

the smart-a$$ answer is "it depends on the rim offset"

but

implied in your question is the statement "with the correct offset"

PS do you really need an extra 0.5" width ? you running 245 or 255s ? in other words your rim width choice is partly driven by the tire size that you plan to run .. if you plan to run e.g. 215/40-17 then an 8" wide rim is Overkill

for 18" you hard pressed to fit more then 7.5" wide wheels even with +35 offset and this is for a SRT4. If your talking 1st gen then its going to be tight, and stick with 225 tires max. 17's are a better compromise, and if its 1st gen then 16's would be able to fit a wider tire
