Now is the time for your creative side to kick in over time. Im in the process of repairing my 1982 Rampage. So, now I need your help I own a small custom body shop located in Farmington Missouri and I originally purchased this car for a parts runner, now its going to be a show car. I need your creative concept minds to paint my Rampage. We did extensive work to this car to make it straight as an arrow. This is a Bondo free car now we use lead. Some of you know what im talking about and others, well you need to research or just ask and Ill try to explain the best I can. So as I said I need your help to pick the colors, and pick the lay-out. So if anyone would like to input any ideas I will take them into consideration. Thanks and dig deep into your minds.

how different ?

I like traditional style so how bout

full SC fx, fab a roll pan in back to match ; custom 'glass tonno with integrated wing or other features;
then go black cherry pearl and phantom on the SC stripes with uh some BASF Mystic in clear base or white pearl...

and I know that lead is the best :thumbsup:

I like the idea of a hard shell tonneu cover. I am also going to figure out some type of hood scoop that works. I have stock wheels for now but thats going to change. I'm going to start building a roll pan this weekend hopefully I will have enough time to finish most of everything, just depends on how the days lay out.
Thanks for the input.

the flat black is not a bad idea for temporary but im looking for a more permanate color combination. Plus the military theme's are really not in style right now.

Grab some 4 lug pizza rims. I agree with the SC fx, personally though I would have swapped the nose out for the dual headlight style like in 1984 or if staying with the single light, go with the cleaner looks of the SC. A pearl white with orange striping would look good, then with the interior I'd go black leather and orange lights with white faced guages. Hit the pizzas and get them down to bare aluminum, then polish them. The hood I think I would do along the lines of the magnum style from the 73/74 charger. With the exhaust, maybe make the cutouts in the rollpan and dump two out, even though it doesn't need it. Get cleaner, I mean a newer style, side view mirrors. That's all I have for now.

A custom Rampage... All kinds of Ideas come to mind

I'm picturing A totally 80's custom tribute. Lots of big gold flake. Maybe gold as the main color with candy apple red accents - or vice versa. Get the matching cap and color-key it - that would be killer! And of course the Shelby gfx - color-keyed as well
Add modern 17" or 18" wheels (machined w/ color keys) and set the car up with just a slight rake.

I think I wanna go buy a Rampage and paint it now.

Yeah, those side marker lights need something. Delete or incorporate them in the gfx . Maybe get crazy and go with some 1970 Challenger door handles. Your beige or tan (whatever you'd like to call it) interior should work well with a nice dark green. Almost like the color you see on a lot of mid 90's Rams, I think it's Douglas Fir Green or something like that. Might have a picture of what I'm thinking about. Then you could pull off some white gold white black striping along the bottom of the gfx. OR if you want to get really funky and make a statement at shows. Paint it in a nice metallic dark green. Then that body line that is right below the door handle, hit it with pearl white down to the body line that goes through the halfway of the wheel wells. Then get a bunch of different greens and go to town with some crazy designs(almost lace) through the white. But if green isn't your thing, a nice silver blue metallic...
