I am going to be getting my R/T painted soon and noticed the black trim going around all the glass and sunroof has become faded and warped in some areas. Also, the trim going around the glass of the sunroof is faded, cracked, and growing mold. I would like to get new trim since I am doing a restoration. Where can I find this stuff? Hopefully it is not NS-1. Is there a place I can get a new quarter panel as well?

No there isn't. Unfortunately, it is. Probably not.

Back in June I got my '92 R/T painted after a wreck in July '07. I am still slowly putting the interior back together. Last week I decided that my window surrounds and mirrors were really faded and looked bad against the new paint. I very carefully masked off the window surrounds and used some black satin Fusion paint. I ended up painting the mirrors three times with the fusion and wet-sanding with 1500 in between coats. The window surrounds took one coat and look perfect. I also masked and shot the trim around the windshield. About two years ago I removed the trim at the base of the windshield (actually part of the hood) and shot one coat of fusion on it. It looks great too and has held up really well.

I will probably use the satin paint. I was already going to use that on the mirrors and black portion of the hood, but I will try on the trim too.

Where did you get the glass trim along the driver/pass side windows? Not the side mirror trim but all the molding that actually runs along the glass.

Indeed, very sharp. I think I found a new mini-project for my 92.

Nothing was added or taken away. I did pull the rubber out of the track. That's what's laying on the top of the car.
