Well, I finally got these finished and painted and ready to go on the car, but I thought I would show them before I put them on the car. I went to a local salvage yard and they had an 86 T-top car and I got both sides for a total of $20, so $10 a piece. And with a little prep and some textured plastic paint, they look just about brand new. Now just to get the decals that say ES for the final touch.

Thought I would share.

Sad thing is that the car has been sitting at that salvage yard for over a year now. Kinda surprised that it has not been crushed in truth. I just bought my T-top Daytona a few months ago and the trim were shot on it when I got it, so I went and got these and just did a touch up on them. Now to install and get the rest of the trim to look that good.

yah, but what amazes me is that there was a Laser that was in as good or better condition that found it's way to the crusher during that year. Not to mention the various Omni's and Horizon's. And a few Lebaron turbo's were in that batch as well.

there's an 89 turbo lebaron at the junkyard i'd love to save. It's pretty much all there. The interior's pretty bad and the wheels are missing, but the body and engine look good.

T1 or T2? Hardtop or convertible? I would love to have a T2 Hardtop Lebaron. Kinda reminds me of a Chrysler Phantom.

Nah, I would rather have the T-tops. But I will work my way slowly to get my Phantom R/T, LOL. It will hopefully come some day.
