Yes and it's going to be fun restoring it. Today I got the fuel lines routed and one rear brake line patched, tomorrow I'm going to drive it to the locksmith and have a key made for the t-tops. Then I can take off the trim and get to cutting.

BTW I need a power window switch, I'm thinking about grafting in different switches that won't short the wires out on me. It won't be too hard using window switches out of a camaro or something else that has them mounted in the console.

Finally got around to cutting it up this weekend. I got a couple buddies to help cut the 1/4 off Saturday night then called my friend Sean this morning to help me graft the replacement panel on. If it wasn't for his help I wouldn't have had any idea what to do after cutting it up. The angles of my cuts weren't perfect and I wasn't expecting them to be, but he showed me a few tricks and it was cream cheese from there!

The way we left it Saturday night

Making progress...

We ran into a problem with the welder, we need some argon to be able to weld it. So here she is sitting held together with lots of screws until I talk to some people and get better equipment.

My friend rob who helped out bigtime with the welding and his 92 Daytona

She's coming together beautifully. All the panels line up perfect, the hatch, 1/4 window and door all line up and open/close perfect. All I need to do at this point is finish the welding and do some sheet metal work then the filling, sanding and priming begins. I'm getting rid of the spare tire well in favor of a flat piece and hanging the spare underneath and a lot of other things still have to be done.

I don't think I would have done a 1/4 panel quite like that!!! You realize that you've removed and now replaced a substantial part of the superstructure of the car. Did you jig the frame at all?

I'm not saying it won't work and that it's going to be all messed up. However, I personally would not do that unless I was going to put a cage in it. I simply wouldn't trust it.

I will say that you getting all the stuff to line up the way you have IS impressive.

I'm interested to see how it all comes together...keep the progess coming....

Yeah I wouldn't have done it like that either.I've done two Daytonas and a Ford T-coupe and I don't think butt welding the cuts is the way to go.I'm getting ready to do one of them again since being hit again on the opposite side. United Mopar Lovers

+1 on that. I have replace a wrecked quarter on my daytona. I replaced part of the inner fender and reskinned the quarter. Its nice to see that there are enthusiests willing to put work into a car instead of scrapping it for stupid reasons. You could have saved yourself alot of time though.
