A buddy of mine just purchased a nearly pristine white '90 Shelby Daytona with the 2.5 TI and auto trans. The car is beautiful, especially for being in PA so long. The paint is peeling on the driver's side door, but that's the only real imperfection. I think only having 90k on the OD and being garaged winters explains a lot. Anyway, I've been trying to get him to join the forum. He's owned two V6 Shadow ES's so he's no stranger there, but he is new to the turbo side. He asked me if a '93 front bumper and headlights will swap out. I personally like the pop-ups, but he doesn't and he wants them updated. I told him it should change over on any model year. The Daytona wasn't one of those vehicles that went through extensive face lifts, so I'm thinking one should be able to take a '93 front end and stick it on say an '85 if they really wanted too. Could someone back me up on this?

i thought the fenders and body lines were different from 84-86 than they were on the later models. Also, to put the nose of a 93 onto a 90 i'm pretty sure you'll also need the hood. The trim doesn't match up but if it's done right not too many people would notice.
This is of course just from owning a few of these cars. I have no experience in swapping front ends around, etc.

Yes you will need the whole front end.
You will have to splice the composite headlights into the existing harness someway.
personally I think it will look REALLY strange with out extensive body work and a little creativity.
Sell this car (it sounds pretty nice) and buy a third gen turbo tona if thats what he wants.
