Where to get or substitute needed

Trying to find the silver push pin that holds on the ground effects on the side of the car on the 85 Dodge Shelby Charger. The Mopar part# is X910BA1

Tried wholesalemopar.com no joy there.

There are other colors I could paint silver:

x910 BB6 blue
X910 DT4 gold
X910 DX9 black

Anyone?

A picture would be nice. There are several specialty fasteners available at Paint&body shop supply stores.

LOL, picture would be nice if I had one I could. Only pictured in the Chrysler parts book and not very well at that. It for the most part looks like a large thumb tack. The head is about MAYBE 3/4" in diameter. and it looks from what is left on the car a single foot on it about 1" long. All that remains on the car is the broken off foot.

I would bet you can find a substitute at Auto Paint and body shop supplies stores. They sound to be like the buttons that hold the GFX to the fenders on Lasers&Daytonas. Many different sizes of these are available. Granted they're black but are paintable.

Yes, I looked at the OmniPotent kit and noticed that they offer a suitable fastener but it appears to just be a rivet like those found at the hardware store or in the auto parts store. I found what I was looking for from a fellow site member. Thanks all.

the ones that would look like ordinary pop rivets should be light grey plastic and they would be the ones that go through the bright metal strip and the top of the side skirt & then into the rocker along the bottom edge of the door opening

to bad , I had 1 of the ones your lookin for from 1990 untill last year when I let it go with a set of skirts

Dr. Dodge, that's not the one I am looking for. Im looking for the one that goes at the rear of the FX and on the side. It has a head about 7/8" round and is available (or was) in different colors to match the fx that is being reattached. I found two gold ones from a TD.com member that I will just paint silver, he had the gold ones. Thanks though! The one I am looking for looks like a large thumb tack to be brief...

ya , I know - THAT's what I had one of

there will be a little peg sticking up out of it when you get one that you push in to expand the foot end of the fastener

do yourself a favor and don't push the peg in till you have in installed in the skirt and the little bracket below

I'd recomend not trying to paint it silver till you have it installed to

the fit between the peg in the center of the head and the hole in the center of the head of the fastener is so tight the parting line between them is almost invisiable once the peg is pushed in

it's very much like the one for the headliner 'cept I think those ones were textured

Someone please take a picture of these push pins. I can't find any and would like to find a replacement. If somone would "blue print" one of these an aftermarket source might be found. A picture with dimensions would be awesome.
