Seat cover opinion

I found a company that make custom seat covers for my Lebron. They make them with a variety of cloths and in vinyl.

My original thought were to get a custom set of leather seats or covers. But, every company I've been to wants no less than $800 for a set of covers, or 1200 for custom front sport seats and matching rear covers.

My question is... How many have used vinyl materials for recovering thier seats?
And, what are your impressions/opinions on how they hold up/look?

The company can do a custom two tone if I want. And I actually do want a two tone for the car. They have two types of vinyl as well. Solid with grain pattern, or perforrated. I was thinking about having the outer areas done in Ebony (black) solid, and the inside panels in Granite (dark grey) perforrated.

Any opinions and personal experiences are greatly appreciated.

I have them in one of my project cars. I really like them because they are easy to maintain and don't crack like the leather does. Mine are 25 year old factory originals and they are in fantastic shape still. There are only two downsides and that is they get hot in the sun and cold in the winter but leather does the same. I just put a sun reflector in the windshield and it takes care of the hot part and I start it up for a minute in the winter and the heater takes care of that.

I am actually going to install grey or black vinyl in my Rampage when its time.

How's the wear characteristics of them? I've been told by different sources that they wear out faster than leather. But, I've also been told that they hold up as well as leather by another.

Any input?

Wear is minimum as long as you don't jump in them with sharp objects in you pocket.

This is the original vinyl interior in my 1981 103,000 mile Chevy Malibu. The vinyl looks almost the same as the day it came off the lot.

Works for me. I guess I'll be putting in my order sometime next month
